Story
Small loans to working poor women = big changes to their microbusinesses. My visit to India in 2008 to see Opportunity's work in action convinced me that microfinance is a powerfully effective method of poverty alleviation. Increasing the pofitability of a woman's small business puts food on her table, shelter over her family's heads, and pays for education of children so that the cycle of poverty within families is broken, forever.
